The multi head drilling machine is mainly composed of foundation, virtical plate, CNC slideway, drilling head, clamp feeding device, electrical system, hydraulic system, cooling system, etc.

Control system consists of computer, numerical control system, servo motor, photo encoder, PLC, etc. As long as inputting dimensions of workpiece, the processing program can be automatically created, and can be memorized, selected, displayed and transmitted according to workpiece at will. Not only can the electric unit of this machine execute manual control separately according to specified parameters, but also execute the total automatic control in the whole processing course.

The feeding of the workpiece is driven by rollers which are controlled by hydraulic and mechanical systems. The measuring wheel measures the actual feeding distance of workpiece and feeds back the result to control system to guarantee the precision of the longitudinal position of holes.

The rotation speed of each spindle is stepless adjusted by the transducer, and the feeding speed is stepless adjusted by governor valve. Two kinds of speed mentioned above can be quickly set according to different materials and holes’ diameters. Stroke selfcontrolled drilling unit can fulfill the spindles’ automatic transform of rapid feeding, working feeding and rapid withdrawing without any presetting of parameters.

There are 3 independent drilling units, one vertical and two horizontal (right and left). There is a fast tool-changing chuck on the spindle.
